Where does exercise come in?

If you are looking for weight loss, it only stands to reason that movement plays a big part of it.

But with so many conflicting opinions out there; what are we to believe?


I have been in the fitness arena for 20 plus years now and I have seen it all. I've come to the conclusion that the fitness program that you LOVE and can stick with consistently is the best one.


You do not have to spend endless hours or tons of money to make changes in your fitness journey.


Grab a pair of sneakers and your favorite 4 legged friend and hit the pavement. I find dogs to be an amazing accountability tool. They need to get out and walk daily and that can only happen with your assistance. If you do not have a dog, set up a step tracker and allow that competition with yourself guide the way. There are also walking challenges out that, encouraging you to walk around the world. Check out the conqueror.events or world walking.org for some ideas.


My next favorite go to is lifting heavy things daily. Whether that is hand weights, jugs of water or sacks of rice. Just lift it! Lifting helps development more muscle which in turn keeps your metabolism burning for a longer period of time. Win, win!!
